Mission Statement

The Mission of the Morning Star Baptist Church Women of Substance Ministry is for women of God to come together to grow spiritually, to build a relationship with God, to learn how to respond Christlike without anger, resentment, bitterness or hostility during trials and tribulations, to recognize God's voice, to know our purpose and to use what we learn to mentor, teach and coach other women and young girls for the building up of God's kingdom.

Purpose

A woman of substance recognizes her strengths and weaknesses. A woman of substance is a woman whose path has been marked with obstacles that seemed unmovable but never gave up. A woman of substance is a woman who is a positive influence to others even through her struggles. A woman of substance is a woman who is hardworking and driven for success. The Woman of Substance Ministry participants will engage in collaborative activities (readings, testimonies, witnesses, group activities, speakers and presentations) to share in one another’s struggles and hardships, to build each other up and to bind together as sisters in Christ.

A Woman of Substance is a woman who seeks to find and establish her place in the brokenness of this world.

A Woman of Substance is a woman who recognizes her weaknesses and limitations.

A Woman of Substance is a woman whose path has been marked with obstacles that seemed unmovable but never gave up.

A Woman of Substance is a woman who is a positive influence, a role model, a prayer warrior even through her struggles.

A Woman of Substance is a woman who is hardworking and driven for success.

A Woman of Substance is a woman who is humble and graceful, has a vision, is slow to anger and fears the Lord.

The women of this ministry are Women of Substance.
